We officially have the ugly football uniforms of all time, but its a matter of opinion.
The uniforms were donated by Delray 21, a group of community focused business owners in Delray Beach, along with Delray companies The Related Group and Ocean Properties. They were designed by Ryan Boylston of Delray-based Futuristic Woo.

“We definitely don’t expect these to be loved by everybody,” said Lee Cohen, a Delray attorney and Delray Beach 21′s chairman. “That’s what they should do. Spark conversation. We want to bring these kids the attention they deserve. We want to draw attention and bring excitement to the program. We want to get people talking.”
Mission accomplished on that one.
As soon as we posted this, it rocketed around social media. Sports uniform guru UniWatch called it “what might be the craziest football uniform ever” and later wrote about it for ESPN’s Playbook. SBNation deemed it the “ugliest uniform ever” and included a poll asking if was the worst uniform of all time (with one possible response: “yes”).
Deadspin posted a link to our story with the comment, “A Florida high school hopes to confuse opponents by blinding them with their uniforms.”
As you can see, they are dark green with Oregon-style eagle’s wings on the shoulders. What makes them either awesome or atrocious (or so atrocious they’re awesome) is the neon-lime half of the uniform, that makes it look like the player was dipped in Kryptonite.
“They’re great,” said Atlantic senior running back Tevin Spells, the player who appears in the above picture. “I love them. It’s something different.”
Personally the helmet looks fine, reminds me of the Boise State oversize Bronco logo helmet worn against Georgia last year in the season opener.
The jersey and pants falls real short of the potential, as they could have used the neon green better than just following the fabric pattern seam to create the neon green accent.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they recycled the other side of the neon green pants to create the opposite look with a neon green alternative uniform and used the other side of the green to not waste any material. They even used the extra material from the uniforms to create some kind of silly cleat toe sock, lol.
